Do I need an ITIN to set up a U.S. PayPal Business account under my LLC?
To open a US PayPal Business account under your LLC, you'll need either a US Social Security Number (SSN) or an ITIN (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number) - PayPal requires one or the other for identity verification, regardless of your citizenship. What you'll need
1. Your LLC's formation documents.
2. Your EIN (Employer Identification Number).
3. A US phone number associated with your LLC.
4. An SSN or ITIN - if you don't have a US SSN, you'll need an
ITIN before you can complete the PayPal setup. Once you have it, you can continue your PayPal Business account setup using your ITIN in place of an SSN.
