Do I need an ITIN to set up a U.S. PayPal Business account under my LLC?
To open a US PayPal Business account under your LLC, you'll need either a US Social Security Number (SSN) or an ITIN (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number) - PayPal requires one or the other for identity verification, regardless of your citizenship. What you'll need
1. Your LLC's formation documents.
2. Your EIN (Employer Identification Number).
3. A US phone number associated with your LLC.
4. An SSN or ITIN - if you don't have a US SSN, you'll need an ITIN before you can complete the PayPal setup. If you don't have an ITIN yet, doola can help you apply for one. Once you have it, you can continue your PayPal Business account setup using your ITIN in place of an SSN.
