Does Tax and Compliance cover Form 5472 and pro forma Form 1120?
Yes. Form 5472 and the related pro forma Form 1120 are included in the Tax and Compliance plan for foreign-owned single-member LLCs. You need to provide the transaction details needed to prepare the filing.
## When you need to file
You generally need to file these forms if your U.S. LLC:
- is a single-member LLC,
- is at least 25% foreign-owned or wholly foreign-owned, and
- is treated as a disregarded entity for tax purposes.
The IRS requires Form 5472 together with a pro forma Form 1120 even if your company had zero revenue or no activity during the year.
## What Form 5472 reports
Form 5472 reports transactions between your LLC and its foreign owner or other related parties. Examples include:
- capital contributions
- loans
- distributions
## What doola needs from you
To prepare these filings, doola needs:
- your ownership structure to be correctly recorded, and
- the details of any reportable transactions between your LLC and its owner or other related parties during the year.
Missing or incomplete ownership information is a common reason a filing gets delayed, so check your plan inclusions and dashboard information before the deadline.
## Filing deadline
These forms are due by the Form 1120 deadline:
- April 15 for a calendar-year LLC, or
- the corresponding due date for your fiscal year,
- plus any extension you filed.
