Can I get an EIN with my SSN if I have a poor credit score?
The IRS doesn’t pull credit history, so there are no implications for your business’s personal credit score when getting an EIN.
You also do **not** have to use your SSN to apply for an EIN. Using an SSN is optional.
If you choose to use your SSN, it can speed up the EIN process greatly. Providing an SSN may allow you to apply for your EIN online and receive it in a matter of days.
