What is considered U.S. source income?
Under US tax law, whether income counts as "US source" comes down to one thing: whether it comes from sources inside the United States. If income comes from outside the US, it's considered foreign source income instead. For example, if you sell products in the US to American customers, that's US source income. Dividends paid by US-based corporations are also treated as US source income, regardless of where the shareholder receiving them lives.
