Mercury vs Relay: eligibility and card delivery
Mercury and Relay differ in eligibility requirements, supported countries, account features, and card delivery options. Before applying, check whether the bank accepts applicants from your country and can ship a physical card to your address. Each bank makes its own approval decision.
## How doola helps
When you form your company with doola, a few things affect how banking works for you. doola forms your U.S. company and can serve as your Registered Agent, giving you an address used for legal and official mail.
doola also supports several U.S. business banking options, including [Mercury](https://mercury.com/partner/doola?irclickid=VMzT2vR-6xycTsJxqOWFlWTJUkpRTAXPYT%3AoyU0&irgwc=1&afsrc=1&ir_partnerid=4009982&ir_adid=1659379&ir_campaignid=19270), Slash, and [Relay](https://app.relayfi.com/register?referralcode=Doola), and can walk you through the differences and hand over the company and Registered Agent information each bank's application needs. That said, you still have to meet each bank's own eligibility criteria to get approved; doola can't do that part for you.
Mercury, Slash, and Relay all offer U.S. business banking, but they differ in which countries they accept applicants from, their account features, and their eligibility requirements. doola generally recommends starting with Mercury, then trying Slash, with Relay as a further alternative.
A couple of practical notes:
- International shipping of physical debit/credit cards is limited across these providers, so if you're outside the U.S., check card shipping availability before you apply.
- Banks may ask for a U.S. business address during onboarding.
Banks may accept your registered agent address as your legal address, but they generally ask for a separate physical address where you run your business, and may ask for proof of it. This is standard KYC/AML compliance rather than anything specific to your account. Since eligibility and features can change on the bank's side, confirm the current details directly with whichever bank you're applying to, or ask doola support for the latest comparison.
