Shopify and Shopify Payments requirements for non-US founders
You can run a [Shopify](https://shopify.pxf.io/Y9G4xe) store without a US address, using PayPal and/or Stripe instead of Shopify Payments. In that setup, you don't need an ITIN or a US/virtual address to operate the store.
If you want to use Shopify Payments specifically, Shopify requires a verifiable US business address (your Registered Agent address doesn't qualify) and payouts to a US bank account. Non-US individuals registering as sole proprietors will also need an ITIN; if you've formed an LLC or Corp, your EIN plus ID is enough - no ITIN needed.
