Why are my documents flagged as incomplete or incorrect?
Documents are commonly flagged because information doesn't match, pages or signatures are missing, or uploads are unreadable. Start by checking that your documents are complete, clear, and consistent with your company records.
1. Information mismatches. Your EIN letter, operating agreement, state formation documents, and passport need to match exactly on name, address, spelling, and ownership details. Even small inconsistencies can trigger a rejection.
2. Missing or outdated documents. An upload might be missing pages, a signature, or an official seal, or it may not be the most current version required.
3. Blurry or unreadable uploads. Low-resolution, cropped, or partially blurred IDs and documents can fail verification.
4. IRS or state records not yet synced. If your company was recently formed, government databases may not have caught up yet, which can make your documents appear invalid temporarily.
5. Extra verification needed. Some cases require proof of address, a clearer ID photo, or additional business information before they can be approved.
