Do I need an SSN to start a US company?
You don't need a US Social Security Number (SSN) to form a company in the US. Non-residents can form a US LLC or C-Corp with no citizenship or residency requirement for ownership, and doola works with founders from around the world to do exactly this. You also don't need an SSN to apply for an EIN - it's optional. If you do have one and choose to use it, it can speed up the EIN process: you may be able to apply online and receive your EIN within days, instead of the slower process required without one.
