How do I get a DBA (doing business as)?
doola can file a DBA for your business. To start, contact doola support with up to five names in order of preference so we can check availability. You'll see the service fee and state filing fee before you pay.
## What is a DBA?
A DBA ("doing business as", also called a trade name or fictitious business name) lets you operate under a name different from your company's registered name. It's not required, but it can be useful for branding or for running a separate product line under your existing company.
You register a DBA with the state where you formed your business. State fees vary.
